Automation leveraging robotics has redefined the traditional ways of working. The key benefits that have been instrumental in driving the adoption of automation are reliability and precision. The world’s first wall painting robot product is designed to automate the task of painting walls and ensures time efficiency and precision.
We recently encountered a SaaS-based product documentation with similar issues. The product is exceptionally good with the objective to connect multiple virtual databases and analyze them simultaneously in real-time. Considering the minimal understanding of novice users, a strong user interface is provided to handle technically complex activities in a simpler way. It also gets rid of traditional time-consuming methods to bring the data to the application.
Other than skills and processing phases, #documentationexperts and #technicalwriters need to be very much friendly with some tools that will drive their career and increase their positions within an organization or even if they are working as a freelancer.
The success of a move to topic-based #authoring and/or #structuredwriting depends on the order of your steps – and good planning is key. You can’t make it up as you go along. Many current #manuals are like tutorials: They guide readers by example with lots of screenshots. They are easy to follow along with, but more difficult when you need to know about individual procedures or about scenarios that don’t match the example. Do you find these tactics helpful? What experiences have you had when converting #legacycontent into #structureddocumentation? Feel free to leave a comment.
